One of the best ways to relieve muscle soreness before it hits starts with hydration. Drink plenty of water prior to your workout. Easy stretching following the workout releases lactic acid in the muscle and helps promote blood flow.
If you have muscle soreness, don’t use that as an excuse to take the following day off; resting muscle does not alleviate muscle soreness. It is important to get up and move, making the muscles warm. Taking a warm bath relaxes the body as well. A light massage could also increase circulation to the muscles, giving them more oxygen to promote faster healing and relief.
